Nights of lights | 3D mapping

On the occasion of the 50th Flower Carnival, the popular 3D mapping – monumental façade projection is being renewed as well. In 2019, the event will return to its original location at Egyetem tér, where a new group, the internationally acclaimed Limelight team will bring the façade of the main building of the university to life every night from 9 pm to midnight.

Limelight Projection Mapping is a team of light artists who have been creating 3D projections and light installations for more than a decade. Some of them were present at the birth of the genre. They create light art concepts that amaze hundreds of thousands of people all over the world. It is the blending of storytelling and the special 3D visuals, and their more than 15 years of experience in façade projection that make Limelight Projection Mapping one of the leading art groups on today’s light paining scene.

Besides the monumental façade projection, Limelight Projection Mapping will also bring a special light art exhibition – Rescape – Another Nature – to Nagyerdő in Debrecen: it will feature lilies that react when they are approached; breathing plants; Tardigrades representing harmonious coexistence; and a Light Arbour that calms down in the presence of humans.

The artists transform urban space with their creations, they take visitors out of their everyday existence and, with the help pf their art, let them peek into a magical world.
